The Chicken Coop Hutch Cabinet is a historically intriguing and thoroughly charming piece of furniture. Yes, at some point in time, these dressers were used to house chickens in the relative safety of the family kitchen. Now they are strictly for appealing display and storage at home or at the store. The slatted "cage" doors in the base are a particularly charming feature, as is the decorative handle on the base top, which formerly functioned to lift the doors to gather eggs. (To make the contents of the lower cupboard "disappear" completely, some people like to hang French fabric behind the door slats). We also offer optional Solid Doors. Also noteworthy are the decorative flanges at each side of the shelf bottom. This antique-inspired piece uses wood from managed forests. Choose from over 25 unique colors including a 21-step premium faux crackle and distressed finish to make this look like a true antique with old world charm!
It measures 50.5" L x 19" D x 74.5" H. Fixed display shelf measurements: All three shelves are 47" wide and 7" deep. From the base top surface up, the spaces are 10 1/2" high, 9 3/4" high, 9 3/4" high and 10 1/4" high. Cabinet measurements: The base interior is 47" wide, 17" deep and 19" high.
